Old
Business: The Endowment Committee now has five members and will soon have their
first meeting. The members are Don Young, Moderator, Barry Holmes, Ken
Clevenger, Bill Melewski, and Lynn Forsythe.
The
following fund raising requests from the Mission and Outreach Committee were
approved. 1. Crop Walk-second Sunday of October. 2. Noroc-New Opportunities for
Orphaned Children in Romania. 3. Bags of Grace. 4. Raytown Eggstravaganza-
candy and plastic eggs. 5. Summer Lunch Program. 6. Bonnie Withers up to 4
Sundays selling items for the benefit of the Summer Lunch Program. 7. Fall
Fling (if we have it). 8. PEB (Presbyterian Education Board) help for Pakistani
schools. 9. “You are loved”- In lieu of adopting a LINC family in 2014 the
committee would like to adopt a family in February or a similar mission. 10.
Support of Micah Ministries if needed. 11. Support for Hope for Parmelee. 12.
Allow our Girl Scout Troop to sell their cookies.
Finalized a few changes to budget for 2015 to be
presented to the Session for approval.
Approved the
Guidelines and Protocol for the Joy Scholarship Fund to be presented to Session
for approval.
