Minutes of Finance Committee Meeting
on August 8, 2016
Members
present: Pastor Pat Jackson, Ed Ingram, Don Young, Linda Schumacher, Bill
Melewski, Barry Holmes, and Paul Luce by phone.
Ed opened with prayer.
The
committee voted to send $250 twice a year to the Heartland Presbytery to be
used for scholarships for continuing education. This money comes from the Joy
Endowment Fund from which we receive around $3000 a year.
Our two
recipients for the scholarship this year are Yvonne Atekem and Audrey Lockwood.
Each will receive a $1000 scholarship sent to their school.The committee is working on plans for the Fall Stewardship Campaign. Starting in September we will have several Minute for Stewardship announcements.
The committee moderators should have their preliminary budget reports ready for the September meeting.
Due to travel plans for several of our members, our next Finance meeting will be on Aug. 29, 2016 at 6:30PM. This will serve as our September meeting.
